This product is Cnidium monnieri(L.)cuss Dry ripe fruit.Harvest the fruits when they are ripe in summer and autumn,remove impurities and dry them in the sun.
[character]this product is a double hanging fruit,which is oval,2~4mm long and 2mm in diameter.The surface is grayish yellow or grayish brown,with 2 outwardly curved column bases at the top,and occasional thin stems at the base.There are 5 thin and protruding longitudinal edges on the back of the fruit,the joint surface is flat,and there are 2 Brown slightly protruding longitudinal edges.The peel is crisp and easy to fall off when kneaded.The seeds are fine,grayish brown and oily.The smell is fragrant,the taste is pungent and cool,and the tongue feels numb.

Preparation of test solution Take about 0.1g of this product powder(passing No.3 sieve),accurately weigh it,place it in a conical flask with a stopper,accurately add 25ml of absolute ethanol,close the stopper,weigh it,place it for 2 hours,ultrasonic treatment(power 300W,frequency 50KHz)for 30 minutes,cool it,weigh it again,make up the lost weight with absolute ethanol,and shake it evenly;Accurately measure 5ml of the supernatant,put it into a 10ml measuring bottle,add absolute ethanol to the scale,and shake well.
The determination method accurately absorbs 10%of the control solution and 10%of the test solution respectivelyμl.Inject it into the liquid chromatograph for determination.
Calculated as dry product,the content of Osthol(c15h16o3)shall not be less than 1.0%.
